A tour around St. Peter’s Church, Burnley
After an interesting tour around the church, both outside and inside, where the history of the church itself and links to various Burnley notables were highlighted by our guides, Brian Hall and Ken Spencer, several fool-hardy souls decided to climb the narrow, spiral staircase to the bell-ringers’ chamber and then onward and upward to the top of the tower. The views from the tower were stunning - Burnley hardly looked the same place!
