A dark, chilly evening - the intrepid adventurers met at The Central Library,Manchester and, there, met their guide, Suzanne Hindle who,once again, entertained with her tales of old Manchester.

 

The tour took us to buildings with their own history of gruesome and ghostly tales, alleyways along where once walked strange and sinister characters, a church with tombstones pertinent to ancient atrocities and the site of the old ducking pond where unfortunate women were tried and condemned as witches and where they met their sorry end in the dark waters. Suzanne, suitably attired, had many a tale to tell interwoven with the history of Manchester.  An interesting and entertaining evening.
